Watkins & Byrum Crack Top 10

#4 Kurt Watkins talks with #30 Skyler Finnell & #31 Daniel Ochoa on the 18th Green
The Grass League’s official “Player Rankings” have been updated to reflect the first three tournaments in league history. Rankings are based on points accumulated by players for their franchises and extend from #1 to #50.
| Billy Hanes - Tampa Bay Swamp Dawgs - (944 Points)
Billy Hanes has become a household name. Alongside his partner, Dan Buchner, Hanes has built an impressive résumé. His 25-foot putt at the 2024 Grass Clippings Open propelled his team into the Top 10, and his 50-foot birdie putt at the 2024 GL Championship secured the win for the Swamp Dawgs.
|
| Dan Buchner - Tampa Bay Swamp Dawgs - (944 Points)
Buchner has played each GL event with partner Billy Hanes. Buchner is arguably the best ball striker in the League based on his performance thus far. He won the inaugural Andrew “One Putt” McLaren MVP Award in 2024, heroically played with the Flu in this past tournament, and is a stalwart in the Swamps Dawgs Locker room.
|
| Drew Kittleson - Minnesota Muskies - (711 Points)
Kittleson has been touted as the face of the league, largely due to his heroics at the 2024 Grass Clippings Open. Since that event, Kittleson has partnered with Drew Stoltz, moving on from his previous teammate, Bryan Hoops, with whom he secured his first Grass League title.. Regardless, Drew Kittleson sits alone at #3 with no plans of going anywhere.
|
| Kurt Watkins - New York Blue Birds - (554 Points)
Kurt Watkins has rarely gotten the credit he deserves. He’s played in all three Grass League events, but started his GL career as an independent player. He got recruited by the Blue Birds leading up to the 2024 GL Championship and broke through in the 2025 Grass Clippings Open with one of the most impressive 4 hole stretches to claim his first title.
|
| Bryan Hoops - Minnesota Muskies - (527 Points)
Bryan Hoops is the owner of the Minnesota Muskies and has created a franchise that everyone wants to play for. He is ranked in the top 20 of the World Senior Amateur rankings, he won the 2024 Grass Clippings Open with partner Drew Kittleson, and is well on his way to creating the most recognized franchise in the state of Minnesota.
